I need a support group

Clearly, I'm laundry challenged....

This is a load I started on Saturday, topped with the load from last night. It's clean. It's dry. It's just booorrrring! I'm trying to talk Tony into taking laundry back again. Time to pray and fast...

Wink.

Is this confession time? Okay, I'm in :) I have three dining tables. Obviously, I don't need three to eat on. So, the FDR table has my sewing machine and all the things I'm working on scattered all over in piece-meal "piles." The kitchen table we actually eat on when not doing homework and crafts. And the third? Well, when the clean, sometimes folded, sometimes just laid out, laundry reaches close to the light fixture hanging down, then I get the idea that it might be time to do something about it! HAHAHAHAHA - Yes, I'm telling the truth! It works well, too, when I make two piles - one for panties and one for socks :) hehehehehe

Rachel, Don't get me started on laundry... I'm the world's worst. I have piles that never see the inside of a washer... well, maybe it's not that bad but it's definately not good... :(

I like this support group - I'm beginning to feel "normal!" HAHAHAHAHA

You know, I'm thinkin about finding an old dresser at a thrift store and putting it next to my table with all my clean clothes, hoping that the clothes would fold and hop :)

Dea in Wisconsin here and I want to be part of the group too! I can get it washed, but getting it put away is a CHORE for me. I even many times get it folded in the seperate piles, but they just sit there. I thought I was the only one......boy am I glad to hear that I seem to be "normal".
I once saw a tv special on a woman that had 12 kids. She had a great idea. She had a huge laundry room and they all had their own seperate space in the laundry room for their clothes. Everyone wore the same socks, so they were just in a big bin. The clothes never had to leave the laundry room. No dressers in the rooms either. More space!
Of course, there is always the concept of teaching my family to come and get their own clothes and put them away. Truthfully though, I think that they just ignore them so that they can see how high I can get them to stack (I can be very creative in that area). Will and I are like that song " me and my husband we need a wife. One who's total ambition is laundry.")
I'd much rather be cooking BUT then I'd have to do dishes. Everything seems to be a trap to get you to do housework. It's a conspiracy- that's what it is.

Wow! You guys make me feel so good. What a great support group. I think we have enough here to make it. What shall we call ourselves. Laundry Anonymous? TLC - The Laundry Challenged. The, Why Can't My Mom Still Do My Laundry Club?

Or the Don't They Have Robots For This Club?

Oh, the Get My Lazy Self Organized Support Group.

LOL. Well, we have each other and Jesus. All else is gravy. ;)

Ok, I got here too late to play, since you've obviously moved on, but my name is Chris and I'm allergic to doing laundry. I haven't heard the song about me and my husband needing a wife, but truer words were never spoken in this household. We definitely do!

Dea here again......Just so anyone can look up the great lyrics to that song if they want....
The artist's name is Rebecca Lynn Howard and the song is called "I Need a Vacation".
