Towards the end, tears streamed down my cheeks as Benjamin Martin rode along side the troops waving a battered American flag.
"Thank you," I said, thinking of the men and woman who gave up so much to make sure a free nation existed on the earth.
They counted the cost and said, "It's worth it."
Today we want freedom without a price tag. It's impossible. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Freedom is not free.
I hope and pray our nation does not lose sight of what our forefathers believed in and died for. May we always be strong and free.
But if not, I am always free in Jesus.
"He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
On God my (salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God." Psalm 62
AMEN Rachel - It is so difficult to understand how people can think we shouldn';t fight for our freedom but as you said no matter what - thos of us who know HIM are free regardless of our circumstances.
